Andy Graves

Founder, In Memoriam, 1966-2010

Mr. Graves, an analyst, portfolio manager and strategist with over 22 years of experience, formed Seacliff Consulting LLC in December 2005 and re-launched the business in January 2009. Previously, Mr. Graves was Director of Strategy and Private Equity Research for OTR Global LLC in San Francisco, one of the largest independent equity research firms in the United States.  Prior to OTR, Mr. Graves was Senior Research Analyst specializing in consumer-related investments at Pacific Growth Equities LLC, a boutique investment bank in San Francisco. From 2000-2004, Mr. Graves operated his own small-cap long/short hedge fund, CompassPoint Partners LLC, with over $100 million in assets that grew 43.6% net verses a 62.4% gross decline for the NASDAQ during that period. Earlier in his career, Mr. Graves was for 9 years a securities analyst and Portfolio Manager for Friess Associates, advisor of the Brandywine Funds, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He managed upwards of $2 billion in equities, specializing in small- and mid-cap growth securities.  During his tenure, Friess Associates was ranked the top performing growth manager in the 1990’s by several leading industry publications.

Steve Grossmann

Mr. Grossmann leads strategic management and integration of new ventures for Seacliff Consulting LLC and is President of Wireless Technology Solutions.  Mr. Grossmann has over 20 years of executive/management experience in the structuring and building of companies from concept to fully mature entities. He has worked primarily with start-ups in developing and implementing strategies and programs then building out staffs to reach break-even profitability.  Most recently Senior Vice President of Operations for Visage Mobile, the premier leader in the MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) space, he was responsible for the overall development and management of all aspects of operations both on- and off-shore.  He was one of the original founders of NorthPoint Communications, a national DSL provider, where he led all market and product expansion that included 1900+ locations, $350M CAPEX and $275M OPEX. He has worked at Centex Telemanagement, a provider of enterprise telecommunications services, and US Sprint where he held various management and leadership roles that exposed him to all aspects of business operations and management. Mr. Grossmann is seasoned in building companies as well as selling them.

Sandee McCready

Ms. McCready leads institutional due diligence, competitive intelligence reporting, and funding research and grant proposal writing for Seacliff Consulting LLC.  Ms. McCready is also President/CEO of SmartFuel International Inc.  Previously, Ms. McCready spent ten years at OTR Global LLC, an independent equity research firm in San Francisco, supplying market research to hedge funds and institutional investors where, in 2005, her work was recognized in Institutional Investor Magazine’s All-American Research Team Awards. Ms. McCready was a Senior Researcher at RCM Capital Management in San Francisco (a subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors AG), providing industry trend reports and marketplace checks on publicly traded companies to RCM’s senior management and clients. Earlier in her career, Ms. McCready spent time in sales, directing a sales team in the National Sales Division of AT&T Technologies.

Greg McCarty

Mr. McCarty is responsible for the financial management of Seacliff Consulting, LLC and the firm’s investments and operations.  Mr. McCarty is an accomplished finance professional with an eclectic combination of planning, financial management, and entrepreneurial/business development skills, honed in Fortune 50/venture-funded start-up environments.  He began his career with the consulting practice of Deloitte “Big 4” public accounting and has over 25 years of progressive career growth in the Telecom, Consumer Products, Software and Hi-Tech industries.  Much of his career has been spent with AirTouch Communications/Vodafone where he led the development of several multi-billion dollar business plans and was most recently CFO/Controller for a venture-backed “software as a service” (SaaS) enterprise.  He has also founded, managed and divested several independent Retail ventures.
